Benjamin Bikman earned his Ph.D. in Bioenergetics and was a postdoctoral fellow with the Duke-National University of Singapore in metabolic disorders. Currently, his professional focus as a scientist and associate professor (Brigham Young University) is to better understand the role of elevated insulin in regulating obesity and diabetes, including the relevance of ketones in mitochondrial function.
Nina Teicholz is an author and science journalist. Her international bestseller, The Big Fat Surprise upended the conventional wisdom on dietary fat–especially saturated fat—and spurred a new conversation about whether these fats in fact cause heart disease. The Big Fat Surprise was named a *Best Book* by The Economist and the Wall Street Journal, among others. Teicholz is a graduate of Stanford and Oxford Universities. She is currently quarantining with her husband and two sons in Connecticut.

Ivor Cummins BE(Chem) CEng MIEI PMP completed a Biochemical Engineering degree in 1990. He has since spent over 25 years in corporate technical leadership and management positions. His career specialty has been leading large worldwide teams in complex problem-solving activity.
Since 2012 Ivor has been intensively researching the root causes of modern chronic disease. A particular focus has been on cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. He shares his research insights at public speaking engagements around the world, revealing the key nutritional and lifestyle interventions which will deliver excellent health and personal productivity. He has recently presented on heart disease primary root causes at the British Association of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR). Dr. Westman is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Duke University. He is Board Certified in Obesity Medicine and Internal Medicine, and founded the Duke Keto Medicine Clinic in 2006 after 8 years of clinical research regarding low carbohydrate ketogenic diets. He is Past-President and Master Fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association. Dr. Shawn Baker is an orthopedic surgeon, world record holding athlete, international speaker, and CEO of MeatRx.
Cate Shanahan is a board certified Family Physician. Her expertise is diet-driven disease, specifically the twin roles of PUFAs and sugar in promoting weight gain, insulin resistance, prediabetes and other common diet-driven conditions.
Dr. Brian Lenzkes is an internal medicine doctor based in San Diego who has focused much of his attention on clinical nutrition. He has owned his own medical practice with a group of physicians since 2004. Dr. Lenzkes is co-host of the popular LowCarbMD podcast, which has more than 1.4 million downloads, and he is a professional speaker.
Dr. Lenzkes attended UC Irvine and received a Bachelors of Science in Biology before attending University of Southern California Medical School. After graduating in 1999, he started his Residency Program at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego and extended his residency for a year to serve as Chief Resident before starting his private practice career at Internal Medicine Associates in 2004.
Peter Ballerstedt (aka The Sodfather) received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1981 and Master of Science in 1983, both from the University of Georgia. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1986, specializing in forage management / utilization and ruminant nutrition. He was the forage extension specialist at Oregon State University from 1986 to 1992. He’s worked in the forage seed industry since 2011. Peter has spoken at many different events in the US and internationally.
Ken Berry, MD is a family physician in Camden, Tennessee and is affiliated with Henry County Medical Center. He received his medical degree from University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He is the author of the bestseller Lies My Doctor Told Me which exposes myths and misleading health advice from well-meaning doctors, such as avoiding fat. He also has a very popular youtube channel. Dr. Berry’s own health dramatically improved when he embraced a ketogenic diet.
